As a scale-up entrepreneur, there’s no way around it: securing funding. Greyt and EY are organizing this informal event for scale-up entrepreneurs who are either exploring their first funding round or have already gone through one (or more) rounds. During our panel discussion and networking drinks, be inspired by entrepreneurs, CFOs, and experts who have experienced the funding roadshow or are currently in the midst of it, and learn from their successes, setbacks, tips, and tricks.
- Taylor. Rein Westerdijk (Co-founder)
Taylor develops innovative solar panels and, due to a challenging Dutch market, is focusing on international growth. Rein has raised funding through innovation loans and subsidies all the way to venture capital. Earlier this year, even the ABP pension fund joined as an investor. Be inspired by his entrepreneurial journey and his vision on international growth and funding. - Morphotonics. Irma van der Kaaij (CFO)
Morphotonics, the company behind groundbreaking nanoimprint technology for innovations such as AR smart glasses and 3D displays, serves global clients like LEIA (a Hewlett Packard spin-off) and various Big Tech brand names. In September, they closed a successful Series B funding round led by BOM, alongside Innovation Industries. Irma shares the challenges faced by Dutch high-tech companies in securing a Series B round and the dynamics that new investors, including a US VC, bring to the table. - Peelpioniers. Tiemen van Stempvoort (Controller)
Peelpioneers transforms citrus peels in its Den Bosch factory into dietary fibers and oils for food and cosmetics. To support their growth, a new factory is planned in Spain, which requires a significant Series B round. Tiemen shares how Peelpioneers approaches funding and discusses the successful €3.5M crowdfunding campaign recently raised as a bridge financing. - Greyt & EY.
From due diligence to valuation, raising funding, and being audit-ready—Greyt and EY are experienced financial and tax experts who know exactly how to communicate with both entrepreneurs and investors across different funding rounds.
Tim Janssen, scale-up CFO at Greyt, will be the moderator at this event. With extensive experience in securing funding for international scale-ups, Tim knows exactly how to ask the right and stimulating questions!
